On Sunday, September 22, I attended the Mother Daughter Liturgy in honor of Jeanie Grant. This was an event where the daughter brings a guardian or a loved one to church and then breakfast after. The priest was Father Kelly Michelo who performed the mass. The mass was approximately 1 hour with an attendance of around 75+ people.
I interviewed Annabelle Tanner who stated: “My favorite part of the Liturgy was whenever the choir would sing.” Annabelle Tanner came with her mom, and her friend Elizabeth Simonsen and her mom. Another person I interviewed, Mrs. Devan stated: “My favorite part of the Liturgy was when the mothers and daughters would read together.” Mrs. Devan came with her daughter. I asked her if she knew anything about Jeanie Grant and she stated: “ Oh yes, She was an incredible mentor, friend and mother. She was a teacher here for 50 years.” All in all, this was a mass to remember for all of the daughters and guardians.
